The myth
It is worth being clear: in Mexica religion, the fate of the dead depended not on a judgment of how one had lived but on how one died. Warriors and women who died in childbirth escorted the sun; the drowned and those struck by lightning went to Tlalocan; young children to a place of their own; and most people, dying of ordinary causes, went to Mictlán. There Mictlantecuhtli received the offerings the dead brought. This card’s “judgment,” where violence returns to its maker, is the game’s creation, not a Nahua myth.
Why it has this power
A Rare trap that reflects the attack’s damage back at your opponent — the same effect as The Smoking Mirror, one rarity higher. On the last level, all violence returns to its maker. With two reflection cards, the deck can turn your rival’s strongest blows into their own defeat.
Did you know
According to the sources, young children who died went to a place where a tree nursed them with its milk.
