The myth

The Charred Wraith is a MYTHENOR creation inspired by the festas juninas, one of Brazil's most beloved traditions, especially in the Northeast. In June people celebrate Saint Anthony, Saint John and Saint Peter with square dances, corn dishes, balloons and great bonfires. In many regions, jumping the fire, walking on embers or performing folk charms by the flames is part of the festival, along with godparent bonds sworn before the fire. The tradition came from the Iberian Peninsula and blended with local customs. The card imagines, like a scary tale told by the fire, someone who jumped and never reached the other side.

Why it has this power

A level 5 uncommon with ATK 1600 and DEF 1000: strong attack and a fragile body, like an ember that burns and crumbles. It is a fire-element Undead, with Sun and Scarab. It is one of the three offerings of the Friday Crossroads Rite, which summons the Headless Mule, another creature of fire.
