The myth

Thor does not ride like the other gods: he travels in a wagon drawn by the goats Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr. Snorri says he crosses the sky in it, which is why he is called Ǫku-Þórr, Wagon-Thor. In the traditional view, the rumble of its wheels over the clouds was thunder itself. In Þrymskviða, when Thor sets out to recover Mjölnir, the mountains split and the earth burns with fire as he passes. The wagon also carries the god on his journeys to Jötunheimr, the land of the giants.

Why it has this power

A level 7 Rare, reached only by fusing Tanngrisnir with any Machine: the goat gains its wagon. ATK 2350 and DEF 2000 make it the strongest Machine in the fjord. Thunder element, under the Wisp, the flash, and the Hammer, its owner's weapon. Thunder on wheels.

A common etymology links the Swedish word for thunder, åska, to an old expression meaning the god's wagon-drive.
