The myth
The scroll of secrets is a MYTHENOR creation. The makimono, a horizontal scroll read by unrolling it bit by bit, was used in Japan for texts, narrative paintings and teachings. Martial arts schools passed on their secrets in scrolls given only to trusted disciples. Legend knows famous scrolls too: Yoshitsune is said to have obtained a secret treatise on strategy, and at the Ataka barrier Benkei "reads" a false subscription letter for Tōdai-ji temple from a blank scroll, saving the group, the central scene of the kabuki Kanjinchō.
Why it has this power
An Uncommon spell that lets you draw 3 cards. Each turn of the scroll reveals a new technique, and in the duel each turn is a card: more options, more stories to tell. One of the archipelago's best ways to find the pieces of a ritual or a fusion.
