The myth

Helios was the god of the Sun, son of the Titans Hyperion and Theia. Every day he crossed the sky in a golden chariot drawn by fiery horses and at night sailed back east along the river Ocean in a great golden cup. Because he saw everything, he was the witness of the gods: he told Hephaestus about Ares and Aphrodite and revealed to Demeter who had taken Persephone. His son Phaethon tried to drive the chariot and nearly burned the world. In the Odyssey, Odysseus's companions eat the sacred cattle of Helios and are punished by Zeus.

Why it has this power

An Uncommon level-6 card with 2200 ATK and 2000 DEF: strong and steady as the sun that never fails. A Light Deity, he bears the Sun and Crown constellations, the star itself and its royalty in the sky. He gains 500 points on Mount Olympus of the Twelve Thrones, where he holds the edge over Darkness creatures.
