The myth

Nut was the sky goddess, often shown as a giant woman arched over the earth god Geb, her body sometimes studded with stars; her legs and arms were the four pillars of the firmament. At evening she swallowed the sun and in the morning gave birth to it. She could also be a cow carrying Ra into the sky. In most myths she was the mother of Osiris, Set, Isis and Nephthys. This card's weaving comes from another goddess, Neith, whose name is tied to weaving and creating.

Why it has this power

An epic level 8 Deity of Darkness, the night sky, with 2650 ATK and 2750 DEF: defense exceeds attack, like the sky that shelters the earth. Moon beats Wisp and Crown beats Scarab. It gains +700 from the Lapis Serpent Staff and +1000 from the Golden Falcon Wings.

Did you know

Egyptian religion is unusual in having a sky goddess, Nut, and an earth god, Geb, the reverse of many other cultures.
