The myth
According to the Legend of the Suns, the world had already passed through four ages, each with its own sun, and all ended in catastrophe: jaguars devoured humankind, hurricanes swept it away, a rain of fire destroyed it and a flood drowned it. The present age is the Fifth Sun, Nahui Ollin, “4 Movement,” and the Mexica believed it too would end — in earthquakes. To delay that end, the sun had to be fed with offerings, including human sacrifice, and time renewed every 52 years. The card brings the fear of that end into the duel.
Why it has this power
An Epic spell that destroys every monster on your opponent’s field. It is the most devastating card in the mythology: an earthquake that topples a whole sun. Use it when your rival has several strong monsters out; afterward, even a common warrior can attack directly. Its Epic rarity reflects the weight of an age’s end.

On the Sun Stone, the dates of the four previous ages are carved around the central Nahui Ollin sign.
